Key Responsibilities
As a Trade Officer, your core responsibilities will include
Trade Operations & Documentation
- Coordinate and oversee all import and export processes while ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate trade documentation, shipping records, and customs paperwork.
Vendor & Logistics Coordination
- Act as a liaison with suppliers, freight forwarders, and custom clearing agents to ensure smooth shipment and delivery.
- Follow up on shipment schedules, ensuring timely customs clearance and delivery of goods.
Supply Chain Support
- Support the procurement and logistics teams to optimize supply chain workflows.
- Monitor market trends and assist in identifying areas for process improvements.
Jobs Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should have:
- A degree in MBA – Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in trade, logistics, or supply chain (experience in manufacturing is a plus).
- A strong understanding of customs regulations and import/export documentation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
